What’s this?

The video of the talk I gave at Dalhousie University last month is up for viewing here. Now go get some popcorn!

A few things

I will be giving a talk at the Killiam Library at Dalhousie University in Halifax on Thursday, March 8th at 7:30pm. It will be focused on the inspiration behind my last book, Snaps. For more information go here.

I’m excited to say that King Cat creator John Porcellino’s Spit and a Half distribution service is carrying House of Sugar and Snaps.

I illustrated a few pages of Alice Munro’s short story, ‘Some Women’ in the latest issue (#83) of CNQ (Canadian Notes and Queries).

Reviews of Snaps

Here are two nice reviews by Johnathan Ore and Shannon Webb-Campbell of my book, Snaps.

Thanks for reading and writing.

Halifax Launch of Snaps

Thursday June 16 from 7-9 pm I’ll be found at The Carelton (1685 Argyle Street) in downtown Halifax signing copies of my new book, Snaps, published by Conundrum Press.

Also I’m pleased to say there will be 1940s songs selected by Tracy Stevens playing over the sound system. Tip on in.

Wondering who I am?

You can read interviews with me at Open Book Toronto by clicking here and pick up a copy of the latest issue (#51) of Broken Pencil.

Sequential Interview

I did an interview with David from Sequential about my new book, Snaps. You can read the interview here. I’ll at TCAF in Toronto on Saturday afternoon from 1-3pm signing at the Conundrum table.

Inspiration

My new book, Snaps (available here), was inspired by a 1940′s photo album that I found at a flea market. Here are a few of the photos that gave me ideas for the stories and some of the images I created.

TCAF

The Toronto Comics Art Festival is this coming weekend. I’ll be there Saturday May 7 from 1-3:00 pm at the Conundrum Press table signing copies of my new book, Snaps. Hopefully the weather is good and my hair won’t frizz-up. If you’d like to buy the book it can be purchased here.
